A two-piece linen set by Thierry Mugler, circa early 1990s. The woven navy blue linen has a subtle texture that reads almost like denim.

- Circa early 1990s; produced under Thierry Mugler's Japanese license — an authentic piece manufactured in Japan for the Japanese market during a period when Mugler operated a licensed line there
- Jacket: wide ruffled fold-over sailor collar; self-fabric bow closures down the front bodice
- Horizontal ladder-stitch trim bands at bust, waist, and peplum hem
- Internal shoulder pads; long sleeves
- Peplum with pointed handkerchief back tails and scalloped front ruffle
- Skirt: four handkerchief points at hem; ladder-stitch band and cutwork detail at hem points

Condition details: In very good, gently used condition consistent with its age and use. Two subtle watermarks are present on the skirt waistband — one at the front right and one at the back — both visible on close inspection. The marks are fully covered by the jacket when wearing the set together. When wearing the skirt alone, the marks can easily be disguised with a wide belt.
