Hermès by Margiela La Voie Lactée Planets Print Reversible Quilted Silk Coat

Vintage Hermès reversible quilted silk coat from the Martin Margiela era, featuring La Voie Lactée (The Milky Way), a celestial carré design by Wlodek Kaminski first introduced in 1999. Inspired by the Greek myth of the Milky Way's creation from the milk of the goddess Hera as she nursed the infant Hercules, the print depicts a scattering of stars, moons and ringed planets against an ivory ground.

The coat reverses to a minimalist cream exterior, its dual-sided construction reflecting Margiela's signature exploration of reversible and transformable garments during his tenure at Hermès.

Two discreet seam-concealed pockets on the printed side; two rectangular patch pockets on the plain cream reverse
